Integration platform for an insurer
Design and delivery of an API strategy and a modern integration platform.
This scenario is illustrative. It describes how we'd run this type of engagement — not a past one.
Scenario context
An insurer has seen its information system thicken at the pace of its partnerships: brokers, bancassurance, digital platforms. Each connection was built point-to-point, case by case, over several years.
The challenge
The result is a tangle of brittle integrations. Onboarding a new partner takes months, every change risks breaking another, and no API governance allows reuse of what already exists. Time-to-market becomes a commercial handicap.
Our approach
We'd define a domain-anchored API strategy, then design a modern integration platform combining API management and event-driven messaging, each where it fits.
In parallel, we'd put an API governance model in place — lifecycle, standards, a reusable catalog — and plan the progressive decommissioning of the riskiest point-to-point links.
Expected outcomes
The aim is to turn integration from a bottleneck into an advantage: partner onboarding in days rather than months, decoupled systems, reusable APIs, and governance that prevents the spaghetti from returning.
